A collaboration between the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS), FNB Art Joburg and Open City, CONSTRUCT is a video-based series profiling femme artists with practices based in Johannesburg. Under the theme Reflections of Self, the second season sees artists interrogating ways that their personal lives show up in their practices.

Cinthia Sifa Mulanga works in several mediums, including painting, collage, drawing and printmaking. In 2020 she graduated from Artist Proof Studio in printmaking combining techniques such as intaglio, linocut and silkscreening. Depicting what seem to be everyday scenes she explores the politics around domestic spaces and notions of beauty seen in the Afropolitan contexts she occupies.
